Mythopoetic Folk Songs
Rags Rosenberg writes like a man who’s read the obituary of civilization and decided to sing anyway. With a weathered voice and a watchful eye, he channels the witness, the poet, and the man with a go-bag by the door. Raised in the shadow of the San Gabriel mountains in semi-rural Southern California, he started playing folk songs in high school and learned from Dylan that songs can change the world. He hasn't stopped writing and playing since.

Press / Reviews
“Rags Rosenberg creates music that makes one think, while the instrumentation – in all of its Americana glory – wraps his words in a cloak of gravitas and grit... It’s resplendent with smart musicianship and even smarter lyrics.”
“..,the weathered, husky-voiced 78-year-old Rosenberg... is a poet/songwriter-storyteller in the Cohen tradition, weaving compelling narratives, magnetic melodies and articulate lyrics”
“...it’s filled with unfussy melodicism and Rags’ distinctive voice. The storytelling can be intense or poignant..Each song has a different degree of tuneful glory. Care has been taken in composing these pieces”
